QuickPin is a modern desktop tool that lets you view, pin, unpin, and clean Quick Access shortcuts in bulk. With drag-and-drop support, deleted item detection, and a beautifully animated glassmorphic UI with full light/dark theme support, QuickPin combines powerful functionality with a refined user experience. It’s built for users who want speed, clarity, and control—all in one seamless interface.
The Challenge
-No official API for managing Quick Access shortcuts - Detecting broken or deleted pinned items Maintaining a responsive UI during batch operations Ensuring consistent styling across light/dark themes Balancing minimal design with powerful features
The Solution
Used PowerShell and Shell.Application COM object for pin/unpin actions Added real-time path validation and visual cues for broken items Implemented async operations to keep the UI smooth Created a dynamic resource system for instant theme switching Designed a clean, glassmorphic UI with accessible layout and hover feedback
